Powering the future of renewable operations

If you’re passionate about using data, connections and insight to help drive quality renewable operations, you’ve come to the right place

The story

Meeting investor expectations for operational renewable assets is getting harder than ever. We understand from experience.

With increases in insurance premiums, evolving maintenance requirements, volatile wholesale electricity prices: there are lots of moving parts to manage and navigate.

So is finding the right vendor for your site. And the right client for your service.

We’re using our experience in the solar industry and beyond to build something new. A suite of products – from benchmarks to our marketplace – which enable the individuals involved in operational solar assets to get on with the job with the right tools and data at hand.

The team

John-Henry Charles, Founder

Before starting Solar Manager, John-Henry was Commercial Director of Lightsource bp’s Asset Services business. There, he divided his time between the commercial and technical challenges and opportunities that operational solar assets face day-to-day; and the strategic planning and transaction considerations that investors face quarter-to-quarter.

Prior to Lightsource, John-Henry built FlareIntel, a start-up that tracks oil and gas company carbon emissions using satellite data and was featured in the Washington Post and BBC. Before starting FlareIntel, John-Henry was at BCG and the University of Oxford, where he published 3 academic publications with thousands of downloads.
